Join Sitzmark and other MSC members on a day trip to Duluth to Spirit Mountain (www.spiritmt.com) and/or Glensheen Mansion ( Glensheen Mansion) in Duluth for an incredible price! Nonmembers may attend for $10 more. (This is just a few dollars more than the box office price adult lift tickets of $65!) This unbeatable price for a day of skiing includes the lift ticket, deluxe coach bus ride, a healthful breakfast on the bus and snacks (hard-boiled eggs, bagels, bananas, meat, cheese, orange juice, and granola bars).
New for 2020: Rentals are available for an extra fee ($25 skis or snowboards; $10 for helmets). Now you can sign up for these items online! If you'd like a lesson, you have to schedule that yourself - call 218-624-8516 to book a lesson!
Kinda New for 2020: Last year we added an excursion to Glensheen Mansion for a few people who didn't want to ski, so we're planning to do it again this year. It takes 1.5-2 hours to tour the mansion in the winter, so you can do it in the morning or in the afternoon. If you don't get a ski lift ticket, I'll refund $20 after the trip (you have to pay for your own mansion ticket once you get there).
We'll leave at 730am and you can board the bus as early as 7 am at the Honeywell parking lot (2600 Ridgway Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55413; park on the southwest side of the complex, by 35W - see map!). Feel free to get cozy and spread out as we'll have a nice group around 50 people.
We’ll leave at 730 am and serve breakfast once we get rolling; we plan to arrive at Spirit Mt around 10am and ski from 10-530pm. If you don't want to ski, the bus will drop you off at Glensheen or other tourist destination in Duluth in the morning or afternoon. We'll chat on the bus to see who's going where. There are no official chaperones if you leave Spirit Mt. Sally will refund $20 if you don't need a lift ticket.
We will be in the Slopeside Room on the lower level next to the hill (like 2019). Upon arrival, just gather your equipment and head to the room to get your lift ticket from Sally and Nancy, settle in, change clothes, and relax throughout the day (we reserved the room all day but cannot guarantee complete security). (We will have a server from 1130am-2pm so you can order lunch.) Pick up your rentals and meet for lessons. For the return trip, the bus will board Spirit Mountain at 530 pm for a 6pm departure. We plan to be back to Honeywell around 830pm. To guarantee your seat, you must pay online or contact Sally or Nancy to arrange for other payments (like cash or check at another event).

Good Morning! Roll out of bed, shower, brush teeth, grab your stuff, and get to Honeywell!
7:00 am bus arrives and we can start loading. Sally and Nancy will check in everyone and pass out name tags.
Grab drinks and a snack pack and find a seat!
7:30am Leave Honeywell! On the road: enjoy your Breakfast and watch a Warren Miller Ski movie. Sally will collect additional payments from non-members / memberships / etc. Determine who needs a lift ticket and who's going to Glensheen. Sally to call Spirit Mt with ticket/rental/lesson info when we get close.
10am Arrive at Spirit Mountain, unload and go to the room to get dressed. Sally to pick up lift tickets from the office. Sign the waiver and get your lift ticket from Sally/Nancy in the room. Meet people who are driving up.
1030-5 pm SKI/SNOWBOARD! Lounge in the room for lunch or a break or to warm up.
1030 - 115 Morning bus to Glensheen (we can also drop you off at the aquarium or Canal Park - let us know on the drive up if there's somewhere you want to go).
145-445 Afternoon bus to Glensheen, etc.
445-515 Bus picks up people at Glensheen, etc, and drives back to Spirit Mt
5pm Finish skiing and gather equipment and food for the ride back.
530pm Load bus
6pm Leave Spirit Mountain
Movie on bus
Pass the hat to collect tip money for bus drive
830pm Back at Honeywell

Bus will load 7am and leave at 730am! Meet the bus at Honeywell 2600 Ridgway Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55413. Park in the lot on the south side of the building, next to 35W and farthest to the east (see map below). Honeywell says “Just make sure you have all you people park together, in spaces near the back of the lot. Do not block aisles or the snow removal equipment. The snow people also need access to the entire back (EAST) border of the lot, to move snow to when they plow”.
