Update by SAHD on 1/25/19: I added an extra excursion to Glensheen Mansion! Yes, we're still skiing at Spirit Mt from 11-5 (leaving at 8 am). A few people are concerned it may be too cold to ski all day, so we've added an excursion to Glensheen in the afternoon. You can ski till 5, or you can stop skiing around 2 and take the bus on a side trip to Glensheen from about 230-445pm and tour the mansion, which takes about 1-1.5 hours. You can buy your mansion ticket there. If you don't get a ski lift ticket, I'll pay for your mansion ticket. We'll chat on the bus Sat morning to clarify the plan. Thanks! Sally.

Join Sitzmark and other MSC members on a day trip to Spirit Mountain (www.spiritmt.com) in Duluth for an incredible price! Nonmembers may attend for $10 more. (This is just a few dollars more than the box office price adult weekend lift tickets!) This unbeatable price for a day of skiing includes the lift ticket, deluxe coach bus ride, a healthful breakfast on the bus and snacks (hard-boiled eggs, bagels, bananas, meat, cheese, orange juice, and granola bars). Rentals and lessons are available for an extra fee ($29 skis or boards; pay there; let me know when you sign up if you want lessons so they can have instructors available). In the last few years, we've had 60+ skiers each time (including many many new people) and everyone wanted to go back again!
CHANGE - we'll leave at 8am (instead of 730am) and you can board the bus as early as 7 am at the Honeywell parking lot (2600 Ridgway Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55413; park on the southwest side of the complex, by 35W). Feel free to get cozy and spread out as we'll have a nice group around 40 people.
We’ll leave at 8 am and serve breakfast once we get rolling; we plan to arrive at Spirit Mt around 1030am and ski from 11-5pm.
We will be in the Slopeside Room on the lower level next to the hill (like 2018). Upon arrival, just gather your equipment and head to the room to get your lift ticket from Sally and Nancy, settle in, change clothes, and relax throughout the day (we reserved the room all day but cannot guarantee complete security). (We will have a server from 1130am-2pm so you can order lunch.) Pick up your rentals and arrange lessons. For the return trip, the bus will board Spirit Mountain at 530 pm for a 6pm departure. We plan to be back to Honeywell around 830pm. To guarantee your seat, you must pay online or contact Sally to arrange for other payments (like cash or check at the Holiday Party).

Bus will load between 7-8am and leave at 8am! Meet the bus at Honeywell 2600 Ridgway Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55413. Park in the lot on the south side of the building, next to 35W and farthest to the east (see map below). Honeywell says “Just make sure you have all you people park together, in spaces near the back of the lot. Do not block aisles or the snow removal equipment. The snow people also need access to the entire back (EAST) border of the lot, to move snow to when they plow”.
